About Alessia

From her early teen years, Alessia Zanchi Loffredo nurtured an interest in interior design. Her career began with Studio Dedalos in Rome before she moved to the United States to pursue new opportunities. Her spatial skills were honed while she drafted for architects and developers, working on retail, hospitality, and residential projects. Alessia’s custom design solutions and style choices elevate interiors to a sophisticated warmth.

Alessia lives in the suburbs of Chicago with her husband, three children, and dog Moose. During her free time, she enjoys taking long walks, drinking coffee and tea, cooking and hosting dinner parties, and exploring new places with her family. Having dreamed of living between the USA and Italy consistently, Alessia and her husband will soon renovate a 1930s Liberty style apartment in Italy. She will treat this topic in her Laboratorio.

Alessia holds a degree in Design and Survey from Italy.

Our Approach

A holistic design approach enables AZL to set intentions early in the design process with clients. Rooted in these intentions, AZL begins brainstorming space planning and ideas on how to balance lifestyle functionality with respect to quality craftsmanship and traditions. AZL custom designs include cabinetry, millwork, curated finishes, furniture, decor and custom pieces, while bringing a sense of belonging through curated styling.

Intro Call and Consultation

Begin your design process with expert guidance. AZL offers an introductory call to learn about your project prior moving forward with a personalized consultation to help define your vision and set the foundation for your project.

Conceptual Design

Projects begin upon receiving a signed contract and payment of deposit. We dive into the discovery phase and creation of conceptual design through spatial planning, custom design solution and finishes selection providing an overview of the budget invested through the designed spaces.

Design Development

Once the design concept and selections are approved, AZL will work on detailing drawings, creating rendering and procuring the finishes/fixtures and sourcing furniture/décor for the project.

Execution

Once the orders are processed and delivered to the job-site (or a receiving warehouse) construction begins. AZL will schedule with clients and builder site-visits during the construction phase to ensure the design is execute to plan. At this time AZL begins the procurement of furniture and décor that will be delivered at construction completion to execute install and styling.
